What this app is

Jokers Jewels is an offline jewellery care guide for Android. The Care, Today, Polish Log and Reference screens are all generated inside the app from data shipped with the install. This page explains the small amount of network activity the app does perform and what it never does.

What stays on your device

The Polish Log saves a piece name, jewellery type and timestamp every time you tap "Add to polish log". Those records live inside the app's private storage sandbox on Android. They are never uploaded, never copied to a server, and disappear when you uninstall the app.

The three network calls

On launch the app fetches three small JSON documents from our own domain. We use them to keep the Today screen fresh without releasing a new APK every week.

• GET /content/today.json — tip of the day text shown on the Today tab
• GET /content/silver-spot.json — current silver spot price for the Silver card
• GET /policy — a single feature flag JSON that decides which featured care article we surface

Standard request metadata is involved: the device User-Agent string Android sends by default, and the IP address handled by your network provider. None of that is logged for marketing, profiling, advertising or any commercial purpose, and the JSON responses themselves are not stored.

What we never collect

• Name, email address or phone number
• Contacts, calendar entries, SMS messages, microphone audio or camera frames
• Precise device location or any approximate location
• Advertising ID, behavioural analytics or session replay data
• Crash dumps or remote logging streams

Controls you have

• Tap the small × on a Polish Log entry to remove it
• Uninstall the app to delete every record at once
• Block mobile data for this app in Android Settings → Apps to stop network use

Children

The app is intended for adults caring for their own jewellery and for jewellery hobbyists, students of gemology and the occasional bench worker. It is not directed at children under thirteen. We do not knowingly collect anything from minors.

Changes

If anything described here changes in a meaningful way, the dated line at the top of this page will move forward and a short summary of the change will appear below it.
